I've been talking about getting a fish for my birthday for months now. I even had given it a name "George" which then transformed into "George the Monkeyfish". I even told Mitchell's mom that George was shy and didn't like boys..which was funny since I didn't have him yet.
The day before we left for Thanksgiving in Tennessee, mom and dad gave me my present, I think I already knew what it was since I was home when a box was delivered by the brown truck. But I was still exicted.
A fish tank... Dad and I set it up to be ready for a fish when we returned from Tennessee. But the day we were home from Tennessee, I wanted to decorate my room and wait to get George. Mom was surprised, but we were all in the Christmas spirit, after helping MiMi and Aunt Mert with their Christmas decorations. So the next day mom took me to get George. We had to run errands and get George last at the store, which seemed like forever... but at last I got to pick which fish I wanted and home we went to put George in his new home in my room.

PS-a little family history... George and Sadie were mom's grandparents name... I just thought of that. although granddaddy was never called Monkeyfish that I know of..
