Three Year Old Check Up

Everything looks good, and Sadie is still growing like a weed. She's in the 97 percentile for height (41 inches) and 95th percentile for weight (38 pounds). Mom did ask for a eye test, and we are going to see an opthalmologist soon for a better eye test.

Gingerbread Houses and Men

This week Sadie was invited to her friend Jacqueline's house to make gingerbread houses. There was lots of icing and candies to put on the houses. Mom and Sadie couldn't figure out how to make the roof, so we made it a tower!

School Christmas party was also this week. Parent's were invited to attend Songfest, where we sang for them, then off to our classroom for a party, snack and make gingerbread men.

Dance School Party

Ms. Christine had a Christmas Party for all her students. There was lots to do. Lots of food and decorate your own cookie, plus sack races, and gift exchange game. There were 3 other girls from my class there and Bailey is a friend of mine that's in another class.

I thought the sack race was fun, and wanted to do it again. Mom told me I was really good at jumping! (However, she jumped more up and down than forward-it was lots of fun to watch). Everyone was cheering!

The gift exchange, I got a purple purse with a monkey on it and a bracelet with the same monkey that had lots of glitter. I couldn't wait to go home and play, however, I had to wait until morning because it was bedtime when we got home.

Mona and Bob Visit

Mona and Bob came to visit on Friday afternoon. It was lots of fun. They brought me presents, I love the Goofy and especially the pet shop toys. I was glad for the presents, but I really enjoyed playing with them. They are funny. Mona thinks I'm so smart (which made her cry when I said it because it sounded more like sfart).

Where have the Cowboys/girls gone?

To Hobbytown. They've traded in guns for brooms and dust pans. So watch out if you see these characters out.

Aquarium

I went to the Georgia Aquarium with my friends Ava, Hollis and Emma on Tuesday. Ava and her mom rode with us, and we sang Jingle Bells, Frosty, and Happy Birthday there and back. We saw lots and lots of fishes. Mom had a great time, but I was always ready to see what's next.



There is a HUGE fish next to the window. I decided it was in "time out". This was my favorite fish.

Party Saturday

We started off the day with a great birthday party. We played BINGO with M&M's (mmm), and made a frame and decorated it with stickers and markers, sang happy birthday and decorated our own cupcakes! Happy Birthday Natalie, it sure was fun.

Later that night we when to Abbie's house for a Christmas party. Everyone brought teddy bears to give to the local fire department. I have never seen so many bears. They covered up the stairway to the upstairs. During the party, mom asked dad if he had seen me lately, so off they went to find me. Where was I, on the stairs with Abbie and Addison, hiding/playing in all the teddy bears.

Trains and Cookies

Last Thursday, Sadie and I went to the train museum (The Southern Museum) and got a ticket on the Polar Express to the North Pole. The conductor took us to the back of the museum, punched our tickets and read the Polar Express book and then we went to look at the trains.

However, this was the best part, playing and my friend William was there too.


Later, Mitchell came over to play, but mom put us to work, she needed cookies for her party that night. We stepped up to the challenge.

Of course, we were the taste testers too. They were great!

What a Week

With Thanksgiving over, I still had one more birthday celebration to go. I was the leader at school on Monday and mom sent cookies for my class to celebrate my birthday. I wore a pink cupcake crown. I was excited, except mom was supposed to send cupcakes, so after school she took me to get one at the grocery. Now since my birthday is over, it was time to get in the Christmas spirit!

Mom decorated my room, I have my own small silver Christmas tree with purplish/pink ornaments and lots of stuffed Christmas animals. Although my favorite thing is my wooden Christmas manger, I take it all over the house. We started a new tradition too, we got the book elf on the shelf, and we named our elf Doh-doh, and every morning I am excited to see where he has moved too after his magical trip to see Santa each night. Although, the first morning, he was too tired for the trip, when I came home from school, he had made a big mess, apparently in a rush to see Santa before I got home from school. This morning he was on a shelf in the kitchen and dad and I found him.

We've watched Rudoph, Frosty, seen Santa at the Avenues and went for a carriage ride on a "one horse open" carriage while we sang jingle bells. The horses name was Monkey, how funny. I was so excited when I saw Santa (known as Ho Ho here) walking down the sidewalk; however, I was quite shy when it was my turn to sit on his lap. My buddies and me on the carriage (moms didn't want to be in the picture, but yes a total of 7 people rode on the carriage).

Today we're off to a birthday party and a Christmas party tonight, and hopefully tomorrow we'll get the big tree for the house.

Birthday Celebrations

MiMi and I have birthday close together, and around Thanksgiving. So we have a lot to celebrate, we have many things to be thankful for.

Christmas Lights

We loaded up in Aunt Jo's car, Daddy driving, MiMi, Aunt Jo, Mommy and I. We drove until we saw the cross on the hill, and drove up to see the chapel and look down at all the lights below. We stopped at the bottom and walked around, there were lots of Santa Claus's, even one playing the guitar, and lights all around, the largest light show on the Cumberland Plateau.

We spent the night with Aunt Mert. What a fun day we had making clubhouses, and meeting PawPaw's new dog Spot!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was all about spending time with family. First we went to MiMi's for Thanksgiving lunch with Aunt Jo, Uncle Tommy and Bailey and Zack. It was nice outside so we spent a lot of time walking around. Then nap in the car on the way to Aunt Beverly's. We had Thanksgiving dinner there. I must say I played a lot, ate a little (but it was good), and had a great time seeing everyone. Mom asked what was I thankful for....Books.

Schools Out

Monday, preschool was out, so what to do? Meet my friends at a play place where there is sand, slides, and lots to do.

Am I Three?

That was the question Sadie asked most on Saturday. She had a BIG birthday party at Miss LaLa's treehouse with 21 of her friends. But her real birthday is a week later, so explaining that was a little difficult. So, yes she is three is the final answer.

Sadie greeted her guest at the door, to the horror of her parents, asking where her present is. I think it is because she wanted to put them on the stage, but you never know what a 3 year old will say. We also had a little talk about presents before the party, maybe mom missed something on the manners, oh well- next year we'll work on that.

When the guests arrived there was face painting (one kid at a time), crafts (6 at a time) and open play. The non-helium balloons were the favorite by far for the kids to play with. Then there was music time, and followed by dimming the lights and singing "Happy Birthday" with cake and ice cream.

Busy Week

Last week and weekend was a busy one. My playgroup painted at Miss LaLa's, I chose a wooden dog to paint pink. Then Mitchell came over on Thursday, went to play at Ava's on Saturday, Caleb's birthday party was Sunday (He's in my class, but mom forgot her camera), and Emma and Claire came over on Monday, dance Tuesday, playgroup Wednesday at Hobby Town, and Mitchell came over again on Thursday.
