Getting Ready for Halloween

We carved our pumpkin tonight, it's a girl jack-o-lantern with purple glitter eyebrows and silver glitter eyelashes and nose bridge, it had to have teeth, of course.

Sadie's teacher asked her to bring in a pumpkin to share with the class. They cut it open, smelled it, and got to see the insides. Here are a few pictures from her teacher.

Halloween Party with the Bos'

Our day didn't end yet, we stop at home for a moment, the off to Emily and Nick's neighborhood Halloween Party. There was food, lots of desserts, but most exciting... a Haunted house...I loved it.. the teenagers in the neighborhood decorated their clubhouse and were the various scary things inside.. I thought it was so much fun.. and laughed throughout it. I even touched the "eyeballs"...aren't you proud Uncle Tommy and Aunt Jo..I'm ready for your house next. I did the haunted house twice, once with mom, Ms Bos and Emily and Nick and then again with Ms Bos and mom. They also had a hay ride... it was very chilly, but I didn't mind, we went twice on that, then ended the night with some dancing.

PS-you would think after a day like that I would need some extra sleep, no way (or mom thought no luck). Dad was away this weekend camping with some friends, but the girls had lots of fun and kept busy.

Trick or Treating

Saturday afternoon I met Mitchell, Justin, Bennett and Alexander at the Avenues for Trick or Treating. We had all be at Claire's Birthday party and had brought along our costumes to change into. The stores had lots of candy to give out, a balloon maker- I got a flower balloon, and other crafts to do. We spent 2 hours there and then headed out for dinner at McDonalds.

Claire's 2nd Birthday Party

Claire (Emma's little sister) had a Dora Birthday Party at the playground/park. It was chilly, but of course, I love this weather. After we played for a while and had hot dogs Ms. Sara informed us that Swiper had taken the party pinata. She handed out backpack with our names on it. We had to find Map and follow Map's instructions through the lollipop field and alphabet bridge to find the pinata.

The next day the adventure continued... Kristen was outside and she and I took turns hiding all the goodies from the backpack in the yard so the other person had to find them with a few hints..even mom joined the game

Halloween Party

Last weekend I was invited over to Emily and Nick's for a Halloween Party. You could dress up if you wanted, and I was already in a pretty dress that Uncle Jim sent me (mom told me it came all the way from Arizonia and we got out the map to see how far away Uncle Jim lives). I liked my dress so much I didn't want to wear anything else. Ms. Bos was dressed up as Cinderella and Emily was Zoe and Nick was Thomas. One girl was a ghost, and I loved her lacey dress.

Halloween Parade in Little Five Points

We first got to Little Five Points, after many turn arounds since mom misread the directions and the names of the streets changing quite a bit, we walked around and I wanted to see all the people dressed up in their costumes. then we got a spot on the side of the parade route to watch the parade.

Yes, I wonder why Atlanta has traffic problems, the traffic went between the port-o-potties and the line to wait for them. We had to look carefully before leaving the potty.

Pumpkin Patch

Mom and I braved the cold elements on Saturday and went for pancakes. Then we went over to the church across the street to pick our pumpkin. This is our 3rd year to pick our pumpkin from there. This year we went on a Saturday and they had face painting and some door hangers to decorate.

Quick weekend to the beach

It was the perfect weekend for the beach. We were there for 2 nights and 3 days. The temperature was in the mid 90's on Saturday. I got to swim in the hotel pool, go to the art festival at the pier, and go to the beach. I met lots of other kids too.

I took this picture of the hotel, my first time that I can remember staying at a hotel. My favorite things were the elevator (I got to push the buttons every time) and the big playground near the pier-it's new since the last time we where there.

Jumping the waves- the ocean felt great, we got to swim and play in the waves all three days.

Flu shot

Mom took me to get a flu shot. We know several people who already have gotten the flu, and yuck. Mom told me I was getting one in the morning when we were discussing all the stuff I had going on for that day. Needless to say, I did not want a shot! But we did talk about getting princess band-aids and ice cream afterwards. Our friends couldn't meet us for lunch after school, but we went out anyway, then off to watch mom get her flu shot (my eyes were big) and pick out my band aids. Next we went to my doctor's office and waited for my flu shot, there were lots of kids there already. Most were strong, and we didn't hear as much crying coming back down the hall as we did from the kids walking to the back anticipating the shot. Mom says I was a trooper, no cries, no fuss. I walked down the hall, had my Snow White band aid already picked out, pulled up my sleeve, and gave the band-aid to the nurse. Got my shot, without a word, and picked out a sticker and walked out. No tears. On the way out the door, I did tell mom "that did hurt". Then off to Dairy Queen for ice cream for both of us, mom got some too, since she got a shot too.
PS- I kept the band aid on for five days, wouldn't let anyone near it. Mom finally got it off, while I was with some new friends I met at the beach and watching horses on the beach.

Kenzie Visit's

Kenzie, Aunt Beverly, Jennifer, and Kurt came to visit us for a few hours. They haven't been to our house before, and wanted to see us. Kenzie and I made the best of it, we played everything, and dressed up too. Hope they come back soon, but we'll see them at Thanksgiving next.

Maisie's Princess Birthday Party

Maisie's Birthday party is always at her grandparents farm about an hour away. I wasn't too excited about getting on the interstate (because I'm not allowed to ride with my window down on the interstate). But once we got to the farm, we rolled down all the windows so mom and I could moo at the cows until we were at the pavillon.


Maisie (Snow White) and Sadie (Princess Tiana). For Halloween Sadie wants to be Princess Tiana -new disney princess -The Princess and the frog-coming out in December.

My Princess Tiana dress....mom added a long, green tutu and a big flower to my flower girl dress from aunt Mert's wedding. I had a frog with me, but I didn't carry it around for long.
