Father's Night at School

The 4 year old class gets to do a lot of fun stuff. We got to go to school at night with our Dads. I even had a special dinner with Dad before we went to school. At school, we painted, did an art craft, and had snacks and finished the night with storytime. Hanging out, with who else, Haley and her dad. Best photo of the night. Storytime.

Field Trip

The 4's class get to go on cool field trips. We got to go in a bus to the Telus Museum. I've been there before, but we got to go to the classrooms and learn some neat stuff.

We learned that the dinosaur in the front hall has the wrong head on it. How funny is that.

Girls Day Saturday

Dad had to go to Tennessee on Saturday, so it was just Mom and me. We had an errand to run, and then we met Emma and Claire at the Avenues. What an adventure we had. First, storytime, then lunch, making tirara's, followed by getting our fingernails and toenails painted. WOW, what fun.

I don't like to have all my fingers or toes the same color, how boring is that.

Then, mom and I watched Jennifer, (Nicole's little sister) for the evening. She's almost 1 1/2, and we did have to do a little furniture rearranging (ie blocking the stairs). She was so sweet, but I did get a little jealous, but just once or twice.

Leprechaun Day

The leprechaun came to our house again this year. He left a note in my shoe that lead me on a scavenger hunt before school. The end was not a pot full of gold, but rather reese's peanut butter cups. YUMM. I wanted to bring some to all my friends at school, but mom said I couldn't since it had peanut butter. She was so happy that I wanted to share my good luck. What a sweet girl.

Theatre Class performace

Sadie's theatre class got a second chance to do their performance. Not everyone was able to make it. I think everyone did great the first time, and the second time, there wasn't too much notice, so we didn't practice as much.

Other fun school days

The week we studies the letter P, we had all sorts of fun. One day was "pancakes and pajama day". Yes we got to wear our pajamas to school, and bring a stuffed animal. Only Ms. Vickers had a stuffed animal bigger than my Snow.
And we got to eat chocolate chip pancakes, a first for me and I really liked them.





The next day was "Petpalooza" Were we brought our pets to school. If you didn't have one, you could bring a stuffed animal. So I bought Pluto, but she was on a leash, because Mom read me the rules, and dogs were supposed to be on leashes.

I thought this was a great day. Although I did cry the week before, because I didn't have a real animal to bring. I did enjoy petting everyones dogs and cats. I also brought a picture of Kristen's the neighbor's hamster

We had a parade where we marched around the school, singing Yankee Doodle Dandy and waving our flags.

Dr. Seuss

The topic last week for school was Dr. Seuss. Sadie's class read Dr. Seuss books, talked about rhyming words, and even had green eggs and ham one day for snack. They ended the week with a parade around the school in their Dr. Seuss costumes.

Soccer Practice and Game

I wanted to play soccer again. So mom signed me up to play on Sundays. I'm on the same team as my friend Ruby from school. I think there is a few other kids from my school on my team. Our team came with a name "knights" and our team color is brown. As you can image, I wasn't excited about either one of them. "Knights" is for boys!
I liked the longer practice and games that I did last year. But mom thought the one day of practice and game worked pretty well for my age.
I volunteered to be goalie at the game.

I was pretty confident of myself, protecting the goal with my whole body. I thought this was a great idea. I became more aggressive as the game went on. The other team did score, but I did block alot of their shots. Mom wasn't sure, but she thinks the other team had more players (I think some of our players didn't want to be on the field).

At the end of the game I played offense. I was pretty good.

I almost made a goal. I kicked the ball all the way down the field. I did get an assist to help my teammate score.

Disney Show

Sadie has been taking a pre-theatre class on Mondays. She started right before Christmas and went for 8-weeks. The performance was on Tuesday night (after our vacation). So it's been a crazy busy week for us. She had rehearsal on Monday and the performance on Tuesday. The kids did great, and most, like Sadie can't even read yet. Sadie knew her lines and most everyone else's too. She practiced alot. She had a solo song to sing .. The Mickey Mouse Song. She was singing it while she and I were in the bathroom at the Denver airport, and the lady in the stall next to us starting singing along too. It was really funny. Sadie was amazed that other people knew the song too. The kids got to pick their characters and Sadie was Rapunzel.

They all got to sign the poster for the play. I think it's going to be hanging at Miss LaLa's (where she took the class).

I'll post the video from my camera of her singing, but it's not letting me right now. Not sure why.

We did order a video of the performance so she'll be glad to show you when we see you next. There also might be another performance next Sunday. We'll keep you posted.

Daddy's cousin's

We visited Paul and Shelly on the way to the airport. They had a dog that was fun to play with.

Day 5 of skiing

Last day on the slopes. I was really having fun. It was colder, or seemed colder, so we were all had cold feet.

Another shaky video of me skiing. I was doing great turns, but was getting tired of having the paperotizi (Mom) followering me around with cameras.

Lunch at the ski lodge. I was worn out and actually laid down on some chairs. Don't worry, I got my second wind, and didn't take a nap. I wanted to ski some more, but my parents decided it was time to call it a day.
