Halloween Parade

The library had a parade during storytime. We all came dressed up, read Halloween books, saw a short spooky movie, and then we had a parade in the library. They played "Ghostbusters" really loud and we walked up and down the aisles shaking musical instruments.

Early Trick or Treating

Dad went camping for the weekend, so Mom and I went early trick-or-treating at the Avenues. The store gave out candy and had art stations around. Mom was a little nervous at first because I don't like much candy -mostly just chocolate, but I didn't care what they gave me it was fun getting treats!

Timid Sadie- yes it does happen, but not too often, but mostly when I happen to take a nap and then I'm rushed off to somewhere new when I wake up.

Claire's Birthday

I was invited to Claire's 1st Birthday Party. (Claire is Emma's little sister). I was really excited to go to their house. Emma and I had lots of fun playing on the swing set, eating hot dogs and of course cake, and "helping" Claire open her presents.

Pumpkin Patch

Our playgroup went to the pumpkin patch. It was lots and lots of fun. We moved pumpkins from one pile to another, added some to other peoples wagons. Mom and I picked out one to take home, we are going to carve it the night before Halloween.

Singing with Dad

Dad likes to practice his guitar in the closet. I like to come and join in. I have my own pink pick, which I like to hide in the clothes, it's a fun game. Last night, we were singing "Black Bird" a beatles song, it's my favorite on to sing with Dad.

1st CAMPING TRIP

I wish I could say Sadie was excited about going on her first camping trip. But after a morning at preschool and then playgroup at the park, she was not wanting to leave to go camping, even though she wasn't sure what it was. Dad drove us to Lake Conasauga, it's the highest lake in Georgia, and the road was fun with lots of bumps and curves. When we arrived we lucked out and got a lake side camping spot. Mom and I threw rocks into the lake while dad put up the tent, and then got dinner started.

Getting ready for our hike the next morning. Does she look refreshed. Well we have a two-person tent and three people, even if one is small, it is still too many for the tent. Mom and Dad were squished and our neighbors in nearby camping spots may have hear someone waking up in the middle of the night yelling for milk, a couple of times. The next morning we went for a hike to the fire tower. Dad thought there might be a princess at the "tower"

Disappointed Sadie when there was no princess was at the tower. Cinderella, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, and the prince must be at the castle.

MiMi and Aunt Jo Visit

I was so excited that Aunt Jo and Mimi came to visit. Aunt Jo and I sang a lot! "Sunny Days" was the song we did the most, Mom thinks it's an orginial. It had fancy hand movements and dancing to go with it. I've been watching the video of it over and over again, it's my favorite, of course Mimi has a part in the video too.

The busy Saturday

The first Saturday in October was really busy. We were invited to so many things. We missed out on Maisie's birthday party and Ms. Elizabeth and Mr. Ken's cookout, but we had lots to do. First, mom took me to the square for the Book Fair, there were lots to do. I met Chick-fil-A cow and a few other characters, walked in the kids parade around the square, then met up with Emma and did arts and crafts, our faces painted and walked around. Then we went home for lunch and pick up dad to go to his co-workers cookout. I met lots of kids there and really enjoyed playing on their swing-set. Then back home to refill the milk and off to Jill and Erick's cookout in celebration of their marriage. It's was lots of fun, although I was the only kid, I didn't want to hang out with mom and dad, everyone was lots more fun. I really liked hanging out with Jill, and was terribly disappointed to wake up at home and Jill wasn't around.
