Birthday Celebrations

MiMi and I have birthday close together, and around Thanksgiving. So we have a lot to celebrate, we have many things to be thankful for.

Christmas Lights

We loaded up in Aunt Jo's car, Daddy driving, MiMi, Aunt Jo, Mommy and I. We drove until we saw the cross on the hill, and drove up to see the chapel and look down at all the lights below. We stopped at the bottom and walked around, there were lots of Santa Claus's, even one playing the guitar, and lights all around, the largest light show on the Cumberland Plateau.

We spent the night with Aunt Mert. What a fun day we had making clubhouses, and meeting PawPaw's new dog Spot!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was all about spending time with family. First we went to MiMi's for Thanksgiving lunch with Aunt Jo, Uncle Tommy and Bailey and Zack. It was nice outside so we spent a lot of time walking around. Then nap in the car on the way to Aunt Beverly's. We had Thanksgiving dinner there. I must say I played a lot, ate a little (but it was good), and had a great time seeing everyone. Mom asked what was I thankful for....Books.

Schools Out

Monday, preschool was out, so what to do? Meet my friends at a play place where there is sand, slides, and lots to do.

Am I Three?

That was the question Sadie asked most on Saturday. She had a BIG birthday party at Miss LaLa's treehouse with 21 of her friends. But her real birthday is a week later, so explaining that was a little difficult. So, yes she is three is the final answer.

Sadie greeted her guest at the door, to the horror of her parents, asking where her present is. I think it is because she wanted to put them on the stage, but you never know what a 3 year old will say. We also had a little talk about presents before the party, maybe mom missed something on the manners, oh well- next year we'll work on that.

When the guests arrived there was face painting (one kid at a time), crafts (6 at a time) and open play. The non-helium balloons were the favorite by far for the kids to play with. Then there was music time, and followed by dimming the lights and singing "Happy Birthday" with cake and ice cream.

Busy Week

Last week and weekend was a busy one. My playgroup painted at Miss LaLa's, I chose a wooden dog to paint pink. Then Mitchell came over on Thursday, went to play at Ava's on Saturday, Caleb's birthday party was Sunday (He's in my class, but mom forgot her camera), and Emma and Claire came over on Monday, dance Tuesday, playgroup Wednesday at Hobby Town, and Mitchell came over again on Thursday. Here are some pictures from my busy week.

I got fingernail polish as a party favor from Caleb's party, I really liked it, and had to put it on myself. (Yes, mom did take it off my fingernails and fingers before bed)

We went to storytime on Saturday, to see CLIFFORD, the big red dog. Mitchell and Justing were there too. We had a great time looking at books, at the train table, and marching around the store.

Bowling

Thursday we went bowling! I was my first time and Mitchell came with us. I haven't seen much of Mitchell since his mom just had twins! I was so excited. We picked him up and he rode in our car. We sang and talked all the way to the bowling alley. Then the bowling alley was a little loud with arcade in the front, but we had a great time.

Puppet Show

Mom and I went downtown Atlanta after voting (it only took us 10 minutes and that did include a potty trip). We met our friends at the Center for Puppetry Arts and watch "Brer Rabbit and Friends". I loved the moo-sic (music) and danced and jumped up and down with Emma and Ava and Hollis. I liked it until the end when it got a little scary for me. I liked the rabbit but not the bear.

Halloween Night

The pictures are out of order, but as you can tell we had a great night. Dad didn't go, we went to vote instead, it took him 2.5 hours


Sadie waiting on Trick-or-Treats (she never did say Trick-or-Treaters). She was excited to see everyone and hand out candy. We also walked down our street and gave out candy and knocked on Ms Elizabeth and Ken's door and gave them candy.. they also gave Sadie some too.

Norah and Rhiannon drove by and Sadie brought candy out to them. We joined them and walked around the neighborhood trick-or-treating. Sadie followed the big kids lead and understood that when you know on the doors, they give you candy (not the other way around)

We picked up Kristen from school and she went to the park for the Halloween fun with us and then had dinner ... what else to eat on Halloween night but mummy dogs.

Sadie went to the Park with our neighbors on Halloween. The county has a big Halloween shin-dig with crafts, lots of games with candy prizes. Sadie decided at the last minute to be a purple princess instead of Pocahontas.

School Party

I had a school Halloween Party on Friday!! Mom and two other moms helped with the party. We had great snacks, and then decorated masks made out of paper plates. I told my class I was making mine for Uncle David.

Chucky Cheese

Last Wednesday we went to Chucky Cheese. I had been before but I really enjoyed it this time. I wanted to hold my cup of tokens and ride the rides without any mommy help, we played a few games to get tickets to turn in for prizes. We decided to hold onto the tickets, and I've have lots of fun handing out tickets at home.
