Petting Farm at School

We've been learning about farms at school. And our luck a petting farm came to our school.

Earth Day Celebration

Mom took me after swim class to the Earth Day Celebration at a local park. We got there a little early so we played at the playground at the other end of the park first. When it was time to go to the celebration, I wanted to walk (I'm good for the environment) but mom said she didn't feel like walking back and pretty sure she would be caring me too. So we hop into the car...no go. It wouldn't start. Surprising since it's been in the shop, but mom has jumper cables and asks another mom pulling into the parking lot to give us a jump. I'm a little upset, not knowing what's going on. After mom finally gets the hood up and the car jumped off, we are good to go. But I was very upset to learn we were not going to the celebration but to the auto shop to see if we need a new battery. So on the way, I get a frosty to cheer me up, I'm very upset about missing the celebration, especially since we had to drive right past it on the way out. We go get the battery tested (mom does turn off the car to go inside the shop), and it's not the battery. So mom calls dad who's now on his way from AL to south GA (further away) to see if he has the mechanics number. Luckily I have my frosty. Anyway, moms gets another helper at the store to see about jumping off the car again so we can go home or to the mechanics. This guy starts the car no problem, Mom hugs him.. our battery cable was loose!!! So we call dad back with the updated great news and go to the park. Once there, mom parks by the police car and makes sure the car will start before we start our fun.

As soon as we get there we see our friends Emily and Nickolas.

As we are doing some recycled art projects, we are asked if we would like to participate in the next show. I can't wait.

I'm very excited, and apparently me skirt is a little big (I think only mom noticed), but I have a great time

It was the story of the wind and the sun seeing who could get the man to take off his coat. I was very good at swaying in the wind.

We got to make bird feeders from plastic water bottles, a wind chime from plastic milk jugs, and got to pick out a flower with a degradable pot to plant in our yard and then play at the playground close to the bathrooms before heading home. Mom was exhausted, but not me!

On the Way to School Today

On the way to school today, Sadie brought along her new coloring book she got last night from Earth Day Celebration. She was going to color so she wouldn't get bored. On the way Sadie tells me she can read the word "mouse", and spells out a few other words such as deer and tells me what they are. Some words such as "disease" she doesn't know but spells out to me. So after I drop her off at school, and am waiting at a traffic light I look at the book, sure enough, mouse, deer and other words she knew were in there. Sadie's reading... and it's a book about pests and pesticides, how funny.

Last Week and Weekend

Playdate at Emily and Nickalos', Emily had some make up to put on, yep, dad NOT a big fan, mommy told him not to worry, I wasn't sure where/how to put it on.

Ready for action

Sunday we went to the Sweetwater festival, and I saw one of my friends there. they had a playground for us to hang out on after we listened to a band.

Giving mom the "hand", we had a great time and listened to a couple of bands, chased balloons, ate ice cream sandwiches, petted a dog named Max, and walked a lot

Ballet Class

We got to practice our dance routine for the moms/grandmothers at dance class this week. My teacher gave us important information about our recitals!! We are dancing to the bird song.

Sadie and her friend Gabriella are really into the dance, this is the shaking of the booty part, a favorite.

It is super cute, can't wait for the recital and costumes.

Swan House/Farm House

I've been asking to go back to the Swan house. So finally mom and dad took me. This time we got to tour the farm house and the Swan house.

There are no pictures inside the houses, and I was avoiding the camera as much as possible.

Everything was beginning to bloom, it was so pretty, but mom and dad actually wanted to look at the flowers, not me, I wanted to explore the paths.

Easter

Easter Morning

Ready for church. I got to sit by my MiMi at church, and go up to the front during the childrens lesson. I enjoyed the preacher, and even made the church laugh with my "echo" comment. I remember the lesson well, mom has heard me making up songs about Jesus' favorite color is purple.

Back at home, Aunt Jo and MiMi got me some garden stuff, here I am using my new pink tools and planting my seeds for my flower.

Fishing

We went to MiMi's for Easter. Dad, MiMi and Aunt Jo had a meeting so mom and I stayed behind at MiMi's house. We played a little of everything, but mostly I wanted to practice my casting my fishing pole. Mom said dad would take me fishing at MiMi's pond. I was ready to go after I said Hi to my MiMi and Aunt Jo.

First, we had to dig for worms


Then off thru the pasture to the pond. Dad cast the line into the pond for me since it had a real hook, although he bent the barbs down and a bobber. I finally saw the bobber move. Mom told me to reel it in (but according to dad a little too fast) and the fish escaped.

I tried again, but with no luck.

But if you want a funny story, just ask me about Dad's and my walk back and throwing rocks into the sinkhole.

School Easter Party

My school Easter Party was fun. It was also on April Fools Day, so as I was getting ready for school, mom handed me frozen underwear to put on and frozen milk to drink. She thought she was pretty funny.

Mom also got to go to school with me and help with the Easter Party.

Mom helped me and my class make bunny ears and painted our faces.

Then off to the gym for games with easter eggs, this one you opened an egg and counted how many jelly beans were in it, then had to jump to that number

put the egg in the bucket, we also shot some hoops with Easter eggs.

Then back to the room to decorate cookies

I went around all day with my face still painted as a bunny until it finally washed off at swim practice.

Nursery Rhymes

Sadie is learning nursery rhymes in preschool school. She loves them and not only do they learn the words but they get to act them out too. Mother Goose comes once a month to her class. It is an exciting day she looks forward too.

Jack fell down and broke is crown and Jill came tumbling after

Sadie's teacher sent out an email with an update on what the class is learning. I love seeing what she's been up too in school, and explains a lot of the stuff she asks/wants to do at home.
