Hanging out with my Friends

Thursday we ran some errands and then went to meet some friends, while not just any friends, my best buds at Chick-fil-A and then go to Mitchell's house to play in the water. We had so much fun, I played through "nap time" ...we played in the sprinklers, garden, painted the sidewalk, had popsicles, laid on the hammock, and then played more indoors, with only minor number of tug of wars reported. I'll see them all tomorrow, so I'd better rest.

Music Class

Here's a picture of Emma and I singing "slippery fish" with Ms. Arie. this is about the only time you'll see Emma and me sitting down, especially during music class.

Chad's Birthday Party

Saturday Night I had a party to attend! I even let mom put my hair in pigtails, without too much trouble. It was lots and lots of fun. Chad's my friend from the library, and all of my library buddies were there. As you can tell I assisted the opening of the gifts... and was never to far from the birthday cake... I couldn't chance missing out on it.

Train and Dragonflies

Friday we went to the Marietta Square. They have lots of "little chickens" decorated and they were very interesting. I wanted to have my picture made by them all. Then we went to the train and played, Mitchell and Justin came too. We had a great time running around Glover Park. Then off to the Central Library for a program on Dragonflies. We made our own dragonflies out of a clothes pin we decorated at the end and then paraded around the library with them. Then it was back to the squre for lunch and more little chicken adventure by the train. Hollis and I played store and feed our moms lots of ice cream, hot dogs and pop corn, and then we moved the mulch around to feed the chickens. It was hot and lots of fun, but no nap...

Blueberry Picking- Round 2

Yes, mom and I went blueberry picking again. This time we went with Emily (ememie), Nick and Ms. Boss. We went about 3 miles from our house to a house that had a sign in the yard -Blueberries you pick them or we do, so we did the picking. We had a great time, we picked the blue blueberries, played choo-choo train in the bushes, and I can see you, while the moms mostly picked blueberries. I did have an "accident" because I was having so much fun, but Nick and Emily got to go in the bushes then too (blueberries were not harmed). We had a picnic by the creek and then headed to Ms Boss' house to play some more, since Sadie kept telling Ms Boss that she wanted to go to her house.

Abbie's Birthday Party

I had two parties to go to on Saturday. The second one was Abbie's, we met at the library, and she had a Thomas the train party at her house with a spaghetti dinner. My favorite part, of course, was the ice cream and cake. And, I help with handing her the presents, and putting the wrapping paper in the trash bag, so she could actually open her gifts. We had a great time.

Princess Norah's Fabulous Tea Party

Norah, from the neighborhood, had her 4th birthday party the Ritzy Pixie. We dressed up like princesses, Ariel from the Little Mermaid was there too. We heard stories about the pixie that lives in the shop, went to a magic garden, learned to drink tea like a princess, had cake, and dance. It was lots and lots of fun. Mom enjoyed seeing me all dressed up. Of course, I wanted to help or oversee Norah opening her gifts.

Tumbling

Friday we went to the gymnastics center for playgroup. I played a lot with Mitchell, Natalie and Hollis, Sam, Matthew, and Nick. We had lots of fun jumping, running, picking up balls and foam objects and moving them around, climbing, and pretend play (making boats and houses). Then, of course, we went to McDonald's for lunch and more play. It is enough to wear a girl out, and I did fall asleep in the car on the way home, but no dice when we got home.

Blueberry Picking

Mom and I went to Berry Patch Farms and picked blueberries with some friends on Thursday. Hollis was there and I stuck with him and Ms. Stacy. It was fun looking for the blue -blueberries on the bushes and carrying the bucket around.. then the bucket got heavy and Mom carried it, but I helped Hollis with his blueberries then. After an hour and we found some neat farm equipment to check out, we had 1 1/4 lbs. of blueberries and we're hungry. Friday night mom made a blueberry cobbler and it was really, really good!

Library Buddies

Mom takes me to the library almost every Wednesday for storytime by Ms Tracey. She reads lots of cute books, we sing and dance too. I've made good friends there too. Here I am with Nick and Emily and Ms. Boss. Ms. Boss is going back to work so this is the last Wednesday storytime with them, and we had a great time.

Regan comes to visit

I'm so glad Regan, Ms Laura, and JT came over on Tuesday to play and swim. We got along great and laughed long and hard at falling down. We miss having her in the neighborhood, but now we can go see Alpacka's at their new house and hear interesting stories about them.

Swimming

I love to swim! We've been going to the pool a lot lately. Mom and Dad laugh because I'm swimming with a smile on, but somehow I've learned not to take in too much water thru my smile. During our trip to Florida I wanted to swim "underwater" without my life vest. So, I can do the doggie paddle to mom and dad. But it wears a girl out at the end of the day.

Watching Fireworks

We met Emma back at the square to watch fireworks. We had fun while Dad pulled us around in the wagon, played with bubbles and chalk. But the "fireworks scared me!" So I covered my ears and snuggled in to Daddy.

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July, first we went to the parade in Marietta, with Holis and Emma. We had a great time watching the parade and waving our flags. Dad had to (or rather got to) hold me when the loud trucks came thru. Then afterwards, Emma and I rode in the wagon a block up to the square to get some ice cream. Then we danced and ran to the band playing. It was quite an eventfull morning.

Florida Trip

We went to Cape San Blas in late June with Aunt Mert, Max and Maddie. These are me mostly hanging out with Max and Maddie in the condo playing library and dancing and going to Apalachicola. Aunt Mert has the beach pictures on her camera, so we'll get those sometime soon. We had lots of fun!
