Playdate with Haley

My best friend from school Haley came over today for a playdate. I've been wanting, asking, pleading for her to come over, and finally today was the day. I've been counting down the days since our moms arranged it last Tuesday. Haley's been in my class every year starting in the 1's class and now we're in the 3's class.

Science Museum Party

It was a birthday party weekend. My buddy Reeves had his party this weekend too. He's into dinosaurs and space, so he had his party at the science museum. I've been there once before, but it was exciting to be there again.

We even got to go see the Plantatarium after the birthday cookies. I, was excited, and went it without mom or dad, and wouldn't sit with them. They hovered a little and sat behind me, while nice people I didn't know sat next to me. They showed that stars and planets in the sky and then a movie on outer space exploration. I was fine, even though those parents kept peeping on me. But at one point there was a loud noise and the room went dark (I think a soviet space ship crashed in the movie), then I decided I best go sit on mom's lap.

Emily and Nick's Birthday Party

Emily and Nick turned 5 this weekend and I was there to celebrate with them.

I sang as loud as I could for both "Happy Birthday" songs. I've know them since I was 2 1/2, we met at the library.

First Soccer Game

My first soccer game was today. It was windy this morning, but I was ready to go.

She had a great time, they didn't keep score, but her buddy Mitchell made a goal. Then when he was back at the other end of the field he ran up to Sadie (she was goalie at the time) telling her all about it.

Easter Bunnies

I'm always asking mom to make crafts. so one day we found these Easter bunnies in a magazine. You make them from old socks.

St Patty's Day

My playgroup had a green party last Tuesday for St Patrick's day. I brought rainbow cupcakes. Here I am making the different color batter for the cupcakes.

On St. Patrick's day after dance class as I was getting into my carseat I notice a piece of paper rolled up and tied with a green ribbon. It was a picture of our coat rack...When I got home I went to the coat rack and found another picture,...

it continued...

until at last I found gold!!! ok-it's chocolate wrapped in gold paper, but it was yummy.

Busy Tuesday

Tuesdays are very busy here.

School is first, I can't wait to see my classmates each Tuesday after our weekend.

Then mom picks me up we have lunch, change and off to swim class. I've been checking out the diving boards at the aquatic center, but was hestitant, but mom told me that one day our swim class might jump off them. Well when we arrived on Tuesday the class before us was at the diving board. I watched, and a couple of boys in my class jumped off the diving board, I was a little nervous. So off to the other end of the pool for swim class. It was fun as usual, mom even caught me doing the chicken dance while waiting for my turn with the instructor. After swim class our instructor said we could jump off the diving boards if we wanted too. I watched a few of my friends, then I told mom I wanted to do it too.
So I stood in line, patiently, a couple of friends got up to the edge of the diving board, but didn't jump.

But when my turn came, I walked slowly to the end, looked at mom, then...

JUMPED!! I did it twice. I told mom I was really nervous the first time, but it was fun!

Then home to play outside for a little while since it's such a nice day, and a few card games, then Dad came home. I was so glad to see him. I haven't seen him too much lately, he's been at MiMi's and out of town for work, but MiMi is doing great and we'll see her soon.
Then off to soccer practice, I got my own ball to practice with, I brought it to practice, but wasn't thrilled about sharing it with my teammates, luckily there where more balls to play with.

we even had a scrimage against another team. It was lots of running, (I even took a shot at the goal, but it was the wrong one.. I'm used to kicking in one direction at practice). Mom and dad enjoyed watching me. Then home for a bath and bed.

St Patrick's Day Parade

Yesterday we went downtown to see the St. Patrick's Day Parade. I love parades! It was windy, but we watched it all, I wouldn't leave til the end, and walked back in some lite rain.

It started off with police officers, but I got really excited to see the horses.

and I got to listen to bagpipe music, mom told me the guy's were wearing kilts, so I asked but the girls skirts were called? not sure but we think they are kilts too?

then off to a late lunch, and soon after we got home my friends in my neighborhood came over to play and one dog. It was a fun day.

School Pictures

Today is school picture day. I picked out my clothes myself. Mom rejected my first outfit because it didn't have sleeves, and it's too cool to wear yet, so I found this red velvet dress in my closet. It's a size 3, but it did button. and of course rain boots since it's raining outside.

Rain Gage

This weekend I went to Home Depot and got to build a rain gage before I went to a birthday party.
The weather was super nice on earlier this week, so I painted the rain gage any way I wanted to outside.

Back view...now we've had lots of rain already this week, how much did my rain gage say...I won't let mom put it outside, I want it in my room, so luckily no rain in the gage..: )

Soccer

Soccer practice began this week. Dad was able to make it to my first practice.

School Activities

A Dentist came to visit our class, and he was my dentist. I love it. I learned that the best things to drink were milk and water... just like I like! I got a timer to use to brush my teeth, a new tooth brush... It was a great day.
